Ibiza Trip

We’ve decided to put together a blog post on what reallyyyyy went down in Ibiza. It was a week long event to celebrate the achievements of our Brand Ambassadors, to launch some pretty new and exciting platforms which we can use to make our work even easier and to get educated on some areas needing a lift.

This was where we sussed the island out for the first time. Everyone was booked into the Hard Rock Hotel. Check in was a breeze and the rooms. The rooms were amazing. King size beds, motion sensor lights, personalised dressing gowns and slippers and an amazing balcony with fake purple grass!! Every room in the hotel had a view of the sea! Cool right?! A restaurant called Sir Rocca right by the water on the beach was the place of choice for dinner and the Salomina Pizza was to die for!!!!! The rest of the evening was spent wandering around the hotel and finding cool features. Listen to this – the hotel collects famous memorabilia. We saw coats worn by Michael Jackson, dresses by Lady Gaga and Rihanna and a harmonica by Bob Dylan!

There are no words for how nice it was to wake up and be able to see the sun! We had an amazing self-service breakfast which included pancakes with chocolate spread, the best pastry and ….champagne!! Dead!

Breakfast over – time for our 1st meeting. Speakers include Vice President of the Firm – Simon Murphy and Vice President Chee Wai Wong all the way from Asia. The focus was to really expose the success stories of the industry. We had a free afternoon and went on to have dinner in KM5- only 10mins from the hotel and one of Ibiza’s oldest restaurants. Steak for dinner and sorbet for dessert! The atmosphere was amazing, drinks flowing and conversations in full swing. It was an early night because it was straight into meetings the following day at 8:30am.

This time, the topics in today’s meeting were more practical. Sales impacts and creating your brand was today’s theme. Director Nicola Murphy spoke about the importance of your digital footprint and we even got a glass USB stick to take home with us which held all of the information we learnt! Lunch was held in the resort in the Beach Club with the group. We used this time to network over food and build relationships with our Asian guests. The afternoon was free and it was time to get ready for some welcome drinks on the deck of one of the restaurants at The Hard Rock. The free wine and beer went down too well and we caught up with the rest of the delegates attending the summit.

Another early start; we had breakfast and were seated by 8:45am. This time, the atmosphere was on another level. Brand Ambassadors making vlogs, the events team setting up, loud music, people meeting for the first time, scrambling for the best front row seats. Simon Murphy kicked things off with some international speakers following and some interesting Q&A’s throughout the afternoon. Just after 2pm – the grand reveal of the Brand Ambassador website was launched. Our Brand Ambassadors were pumped to find out that they can now create their own individual profile online to help them show other’s what they do, their lifestyle, to show other’s the opportunity of the business and so much more. The meeting finished at 5pm and the race was on to get ready for the Balearic Black Tie. Yes – it confused us too. It’s a Black Tie with a twist. Balearic means summery. Everyone headed to Bambuddha Restaurant- famous in Ibiza and 15 mins from the hotel. The energy after the meeting at dinner was amazing. Each person as motivated as the next. An awards ceremony took place after mains where the top 3 award winners won an all-expenses paid trip to New York City!!!! We were then given tickets to the sold out David Guetta gig in Pacha Nightclub and this was our final destination of the night!!! He was amazing – we rolled into the hotel at around….5am? 6am? You get what we mean!

And relaxxxxx. Some tired heads at breakfast the next morning!! Friday was used to completely chill and to network some more before we left the next day. We soaked up the last of our last full day on the beach and went for an organisational dinner and drinks in Old Town followed by drinks on the rooftop bar of the Hard Rock Hotel. Like we needed another excuse to have a drink! The following morning we packed up and headed for the airport after what was an amazing experience. We’re praying it becomes a yearly event!!!!!!

If there is one thing that Ibiza taught us, it’s that we realised that we love this business even more than when we first arrived. And that’s a hard feat!!! It was educational, inspiring, fresh, and international – it had amazing sunsets, food and drink and then there was the company. Well that was just the best. We work with amazing people and even better, we get to share the opportunity to be entrepreneurs, together.
